Course Overview

The Master of Science in Gastronomy at UCSI University in Kuala Lumpur is a research-based programme that cultivates critical thinking, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities. Graduates are prepared for roles such as educators, consultants, food journalists, and food historians.

Program Structure

Research Component: Completion and production of a thesis.
Compulsory Audit Courses: Research Methods for Hospitality Industry and Data Analysis Interpretation for Hospitality Research, both to be completed in Year 1.

Entry Requirements

A bachelor's degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent, as accepted by the HEP Senate.
A bachelor's degree in the field or related fields or equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 but not meeting 2.75, subject to rigorous internal assessment.
A bachelor's degree in the field or related fields or equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 but not meeting 2.50, subject to a minimum of 5 years' relevant work experience and rigorous internal assessment.
English Language Requirements:
- IELTS – A minimum score of 6.0
- MUET – Band 4 or its equivalent
- An undergraduate degree with English as its medium of instruction
