The Bachelor of Aircraft Engineering Technology (Honours) in Avionics at Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) equips students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in avionic systems, including electrical and electronic systems, instrumentation, and aircraft electrical systems maintenance. Graduates are prepared for roles such as Avionics Maintenance Engineer, Electronic and Instrumentation Engineer, and Flight Simulator Engineer.
Program Structure
- Year 1: Foundational courses in physics, aerodynamics, electrical fundamentals, engineering mathematics, and communicative aviation English.
- Year 2: Intermediate studies covering digital systems, circuit analysis, control systems, and maintenance practices.
- Year 3: Advanced topics including aircraft navigation, radar systems, communication systems, and integrated information systems.
- Year 4: Specialization through final year projects, innovation management, and industrial training.
Entry Requirements
- Pass in STPM/Matriculation/Foundation with a minimum CGPA of 2.0 and at least Grade C in Mathematics and one relevant Science subject.
- Pass in International Baccalaureate (IB) with at least 24 points.
- Pass in A Level with minimum Grade D in Mathematics and one relevant Science subject.
- Recognized Diploma in Engineering/Engineering Technology or its equivalent with CGPA 2.0.
- Pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with minimum grade of Jayyid and pass SPM or its equivalent with minimum Grade C in Mathematics and one relevant Physical Science subject.
- Pass Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM)/Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM)/Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and the program must have Full Accreditation (FA) by MQA or other recognized accreditation bodies.
- Pass the DKM/DLKM/DVM with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and have at least two years of work experience in the related field; the program must have Full Accreditation (FA) by MQA or other recognized accreditation bodies.
