Course Overview
The Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) in Islamic Finance at Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) Business School equips students with comprehensive knowledge of Shariah principles, functional management skills, and leadership capabilities. Graduates are prepared for roles such as Islamic Finance Executive, Financial Analyst, and Takaful and Re-takaful Executive.
Program Structure
- Year 1: Foundational courses including Writing for Academic Purposes, Principles of Accounting, and Principles of Economics.
- Year 2: Intermediate subjects such as Islamic Economics, Managerial Finance, and Business Ethics and Corporate Governance.
- Year 3: Advanced topics including Strategic Management, Islamic Financial Products and Services, and Risk Management in Islamic Financial Institutions.
- Year 4: Specialization courses like Shariah Audit, elective subjects, and a comprehensive internship program.
Entry Requirements
- Pass STPM with at least Grade C (GP2.0) in any two subjects and a pass in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.
- Pass STAM with a minimum grade of Jayyid and a pass in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.
- Matriculation/Foundation qualification with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.00 and a pass in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.
- Diploma (Level 4, MQF) in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50; candidates with CGPA below 2.50 but above 2.00 may be admitted subject to an internal assessment process.
- Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government.
