The Bachelor of Chemical Engineering with Honours at Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) MICET equips students with comprehensive knowledge in chemical engineering principles, preparing graduates for roles such as process engineer, quality assurance specialist, and environmental consultant.
Program Structure
- Year 1: Fundamental courses including Mathematics for Engineers, Physical Chemistry, and Fluid Mechanics.
- Year 2: Intermediate topics such as Thermodynamics, Mass Transfer, and Reaction Engineering.
- Year 3: Advanced subjects like Process Control and Instrumentation, Process Design and Economics, and Industrial Training.
- Year 4: Specialization through electives in areas like Plant Utilities and Maintenance, Petrochemicals and Petroleum Refining Technology, and Quality Assurance and Quality Control in Chemical Engineering.
Entry Requirements
- Pass in STPM or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and a grade of C in Mathematics and one (1) of the Physical Science subjects (i.e., Chemistry, Physics, etc.).
- Pass A-Level with minimum Grade D in Mathematics and one (1) of the Physical Science subjects (Chemistry or Physics).
- Pass Matriculation or its equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and a grade of C in Mathematics and one (1) of the Physical Science subjects (i.e., Chemistry, Physics, etc.).
- Pass in International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBD) with a minimum of 24 points and attained a minimum score of 4 in Mathematics and one (1) of the Physical Science subjects (i.e., Chemistry, Physics, etc.).
- Pass in Diploma (Level 4, KKM) related to Engineering/Engineering Technology field from a higher education provider recognized by the Government of Malaysia with a minimum CGPA of 2.00.
- For international students: Minimum requirement IELTS 5.0 or equivalent; at least Band 3 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET); or a minimum score of 410 (PBT) or 34 (IBT) in TOEFL.
