Course Overview

The Diploma in Multimedia at Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) Malaysian Institute of Information Technology (MIIT) equips students with technical knowledge and skills in multimedia applications, preparing graduates for roles such as desktop programming artist, digital imaging artist, web designer, multimedia designer, and multimedia programmer.

Program Structure

  • Year 1: Fundamentals of programming, introduction to multimedia, basic graphic design, and database systems.
  • Year 2: Digital audio and video, digital animation, web design, and multimedia project management.
  • Year 3: Interactive multimedia authoring, 3D animation, final year project, and industrial training.

Entry Requirements

  • A pass in SPM/SPMV with at least five (5) credits, including Bahasa Melayu, Mathematics, and three other subjects, with at least a pass in English.
  • Possession of a related certificate from IKM/ILP recognized by the Senate or other certificates recognized by the Senate in relevant fields with a CGPA of 2.0 and above; and at least a pass in Bahasa Melayu at SPM level.
  • For international students: Completion of at least 12 years of education and fulfillment of UniKL's minimum English requirement (IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL 500).
