Course Overview
The Master of Engineering Technology (Chemical Engineering) at Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) MICET is a research-focused program designed to equip students with advanced knowledge and practical skills in chemical engineering. Graduates are prepared for roles such as research and development engineers, academicians, researchers, and consultants.
Program Structure
- Full-Time (6 Semesters):
- Semester 1: Research Methodology
- Semester 2: Innovation Technology and Entrepreneurship
- Semesters 3–6: Thesis
- Part-Time (8 Semesters):
- Semesters 1–8: Thesis
Thesis preparation requires a minimum of 6 months for full-time students and 8 months for part-time students to graduate.
Entry Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent from recognized institutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with a CGPA between 2.50 and 2.75, subject to rigorous internal assessment (e.g., at least 2 years of relevant working experience).
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with a CGPA less than 2.50, with at least 5 years of relevant working experience.
- Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Science or Technology (non-Engineering/Engineering Technology) may be required to complete prerequisite modules in Engineering and Engineering Technology.
- International students must demonstrate English language proficiency with a minimum IELTS band of 5.0 or TOEFL score of 500.
- Other qualifications recognized by the Malaysian government or the Universiti Senate.
