Course Overview

The Master of Medical Science by Research at Universiti Kuala Lumpur Royal College of Medicine Perak (UniKL RCMP) is a research-intensive program designed to equip students with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills in medical sciences. Graduates are prepared for roles such as researchers, academicians, consultants, and project managers in various medical and health science institutions.

Program Structure

Full-Time: Minimum of 2 semesters, with thesis preparation requiring at least 6 months.
Part-Time: Minimum of 4 semesters, with thesis preparation requiring at least 8 months.
Compulsory Modules: Research Methodology; Innovation Technology and Entrepreneurship.
Areas of Research: Anatomy, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Parasitology, Physiology, Pharmacology, Public Health.

Entry Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 in a related field, as accepted by the HEP Senate.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a CGPA between 2.50 and 2.75, subject to rigorous internal assessment.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field with a CGPA of less than 2.50 and a minimum of 5 years working experience in the related field.
Doctor of Medicine (MD), Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), or equivalent.
English language proficiency: Minimum IELTS Band 5.5 or TOEFL 500 (for international students).
