Course Overview

The Master of Quality Engineering and Management (MQEM) at Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) Malaysian Institute of Industrial Technology (MITEC) is designed to equip students with advanced knowledge in Total Quality Management (TQM), Lean Six Sigma methodologies, and quality system standards. Graduates are prepared for roles such as Lead Auditor, Quality Manager, and Process Improvement Expert.

Program Structure

Semester 1: Quality System, Standard and Specifications; Industrial Engineering and Lean System; Advanced Measurement and Inspection Technology
Semester 2: Advanced Improvement and Economics of Quality; Research Methodology; Master Project 1
Semester 3: Innovation Technology and Entrepreneurship; Project and Risk Management; Master Project 2

Entry Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with a minimum CGPA of 2.75; or
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and UniKL internal rigorous assessment and approval; or
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with a CGPA less than 2.50 and a minimum of 5 years working experience in a related field.
English language proficiency: IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 550, or equivalent.
