Course Overview

The Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Honours) at Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) equips students with comprehensive skills in circuit analysis, digital logic design, microprocessor systems, and communication systems, preparing graduates for roles such as electrical engineer, electronics engineer, and telecommunications engineer.

Program Structure

  • Year 1: Foundational courses including circuit analysis, electronics analysis and design, digital logic design, and programming for engineers.
  • Year 2: Intermediate topics such as signals and systems, microprocessor systems, electrical machines, and numerical methods.
  • Year 3: Advanced subjects including control systems, digital signal processing, communication systems, and industrial training.
  • Year 4: Specialization through technical electives, final year project, and integrated design project.

Entry Requirements

  • STPM: Minimum CGPA of 2.00 with at least Grade C in Mathematics and one relevant Physical Science subject, and a pass in English at SPM level.
  • A-Level: Minimum Grade C in one Physical Science subject and a pass in Mathematics.
  • Matriculation/Foundation: Minimum CGPA of 2.00 in Physical/Technical Stream.
  • Diploma: Pass in a related field with minimum CGPA of 2.00.
  • UEC: Minimum Grade B in five subjects, including Advanced Mathematics and a Physical Science subject.
  • International Baccalaureate (IB): Total points of 24 in six subjects, including Mathematics and one Physical Science subject.
  • HND (UK) Diploma: Pass in a related field with minimum CGPA of 2.00.
  • SAME/WACE/AUSMAT: Average marks of 55% with Mathematics and a Physical Science subject.
  • Other equivalent qualifications recognized by the Government of Malaysia.
