Course Overview

The Diploma in Financial Technology at Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) provides students with a comprehensive foundation in financial technology, equipping them with essential skills in financial management, programming, and data analysis. Graduates are prepared for dynamic roles such as Assistant Data Scientist, FinTech Innovator, and Financial Analyst.

Program Structure

Year 1: Core courses including Principles of Financial Accounting, Economics, and Introduction to Programming and Problem-Solving Techniques.
Year 2: Advanced topics such as Financial Management, Digital Banking & Finance, and User Experience (UX) Design.
Year 3: Specialized subjects like Digital Currencies and Blockchain Technology, culminating in an Industrial Training module.

Entry Requirements

SPM/SPMV: Pass with at least credits in three subjects.
O-Level: Pass with minimum credits in three subjects from institutions recognized by the Government of Malaysia.
STPM: Pass with a minimum Grade C in one subject and credit in Mathematics at SPM level.
STAM: Pass with a minimum grade of Maqbul.
Certificate in Community College: Pass with MQF Level 3 in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00.
Other equivalent qualifications recognized by the Government of Malaysia.
