Course Overview

The Master of Information Technology (MIT) at Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) is designed to equip students with advanced knowledge and skills in computing, preparing graduates for roles such as IT Manager, Systems Analyst, and Software Engineer.

Core Courses: Advanced Database, Knowledge Management, Computer Security, Research Methodology in Information Technology, Strategic Information System Planning, Advanced Computer Networks, IT Governance, Advanced Project Management
Elective Courses: Information Systems, Information Security, Data Analytics, Health Informatics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Human-Computer Interaction, Interactive Systems Design, Image Processing, Multimedia Design and Applied Multimedia, Game Design, E-Commerce, E-Business, Software Engineering, Software Agent, Social Commerce, Software Testing, Data Communications and Networking

Entry Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computing or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent
Bachelor’s degree in Computing or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, subject to rigorous internal assessment
Bachelor’s degree in Computing or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00, with at least five years of relevant working experience and rigorous internal assessment
Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or relevant working experience must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses as determined by the university
For international students: TOEFL score of 550 or IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent
