Course Overview

The Bachelor of Multimedia (Hons) in 3D Animation at the University of Cyberjaya (UOC) equips students with the technical expertise and creative vision necessary for success in the dynamic field of 3D animation. Graduates are prepared for roles such as 3D Animator, Visual Effects Artist, and Game Animator.

Program Structure

  • Year 1: Courses include History of Design, Fundamentals of Digital Arts, Creative Studies, Basic Drawing, Design Fundamentals, Public Speaking and Presentation Skills, Digital Illustration, Digital Drawing, Story and Script, Design Visual Communication, 3D Modelling, and 3D Rigging.
  • Year 2: Courses include Multimedia and Motion Graphic, Storyboard, 3D Character Animation 1, Asset Development, 3D Animation Principles, Film Studies, Entrepreneurship, Academic Writing, Project Management, Marketing & Advertising Strategy, 3D Character Animation 2, 3D Character Modelling, Content Development & Entrepreneurship, and Animation Production Pipeline.
  • Year 3: Courses include Digital Rendering and 3D Compositing, Character Animation 3, Animation Portfolio, Project 1 (Proposal), Animation Techniques, Project 2 (Final Project), and Industrial Training.

Entry Requirements

  • A-Level: A pass with a minimum of Grade D in any 2 subjects.
  • STPM: A pass with at least Grade C (GP 2.00) in any 2 subjects.
  • STAM: A pass with at least grade Jayyid.
  • Matriculation/Foundation: A minimum CGPA of 2.00.
  • Diploma: A Diploma (Level 4, MQF) with at least CGPA of 2.00.
  • Advanced Diploma: An Advanced Diploma (Level 5, MQF) with at least CGPA of 2.00.
  • Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM): Subject to university approval.
  • Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM): Subject to university approval.
  • Others: Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government, acceptable to the University.
  • Additional Requirement: Pass an interview (online/virtual/conventional) or submission of a portfolio, as determined by the University.
