The Master of Engineering (Computer and Microelectronic Systems) at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) equips students with advanced knowledge in computer engineering, integrated circuit (IC) microchip design, and microelectronics systems. Graduates are prepared for roles such as computer engineer, microelectronics design engineer, and research and development (R&D) specialist.

Entry Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50/4.00, or CGPA below 2.50/4.00 with at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in other engineering fields (e.g., Mechanical, Aeronautical, Civil) with a minimum CGPA of 3.00/4.00 and 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science (Physics) with a minimum CGPA of 3.00/4.00.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science (Computer Science, Software, Information Technology) with a minimum CGPA of 3.00/4.00 and 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology (specifically in electrical engineering) with a minimum CGPA of 3.00/4.00.
- Other qualifications approved by the Faculty’s Academic Committee.
- International applicants: Minimum TOEFL score of 550 or IELTS band 6.
