The Master of Forensic Science at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) is designed to equip students with advanced skills in forensic chemistry, crime scene investigation, and expert testimony, preparing graduates for roles such as forensic analyst, crime scene investigator, and forensic consultant.
Program Structure
- Semester 1: Forensic Evidence and the Aspects of Law, Forensic Practical, Research Methodology, Elective Course
- Semester 2: Forensic Chemistry, Forensic Analytical Instrumentation, Expert Testimony & Moot Court, University Compulsory Course
- Semester 3: Dissertation
Entry Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Forensic Science, or a related field with a minimum CPA of 3.0 from a recognized institution
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field with a CPA between 2.7 and 3.0, plus at least one year of relevant work experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field with a CPA between 2.5 and 2.7, plus at least two years of relevant work experience
- International applicants must have a TOEFL score of 550 (or 79 IBT) or an IELTS Band 6
