Course Overview

The Master of Forensic Engineering at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) integrates advanced knowledge across civil, electrical, mechanical, and chemical engineering disciplines, preparing graduates to identify causes of structural and construction failures and to enhance component performance or assist in legal determinations.

Program Structure

Core Courses (18 credits): Principles of Forensic Engineering, Laws in Forensic Engineering, Safety Engineering, Risk Analysis, Advanced Construction Materials.
Elective Courses (12 credits): Options in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Chemical Engineering.
Master's Project (10 credits): Independent research in a chosen area of forensic engineering.

Entry Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in science or engineering from UTM or an equivalent institution. Candidates with lower grades and relevant work experience may also be considered.
For international applicants: Minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or TOEFL iBT score of 60.
