The Master of Philosophy (Biomedical Engineering) at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) offers an in-depth research-focused program designed to equip students with advanced knowledge and skills in biomedical engineering. Program Structure
- Research Focus: Students undertake a comprehensive research project in a chosen area of biomedical engineering, supervised by experienced faculty members.
- Assessments: Evaluation includes research proposal presentations, progress reports, and a final thesis examination (viva-voce).
- Double Degree Option: An international double degree program is available in collaboration with Technical University Ilmenau (TUIL) Germany, awarding two certificates upon completion.
Entry Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Computer), Science (Biology, Physics, Chemistry), or Medicine with a minimum CPA of 3.0.
- Applicants with a CPA below 3.0 may be considered if they have at least one year of relevant working experience in medical engineering.
- International applicants must demonstrate English proficiency with a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or TOEFL iBT score of 60.
