The Master of Philosophy in Environmental Engineering at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) is designed to develop advanced knowledge and research skills in environmental engineering, focusing on areas such as water pollution control, environmental management and sustainability, and solid and hazardous waste management. Graduates are prepared for roles including process engineer, executive engineer, consultant, manager, R&D officer, and academician.

Entry Requirements
- Academic Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or technology with a minimum CGPA of 3.0/4.0 or equivalent from UTM or other recognized institutions. Candidates with a CGPA below 3.0 may be considered with relevant work experience:
- CGPA between 2.75 and 3.0: Minimum of 1 year of related work experience.
- CGPA below 2.75: Minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
- Prerequisite Courses: Candidates without an environmental background may be required to take prerequisite courses as determined by the faculty.
- English Language Proficiency: International candidates must meet one of the following requirements:
- IELTS: Band 6.0 and above
- TOEFL (iBT): Score of 60 and above
- Cambridge English Qualifications: Score of 169 and above
- PTE Academic: Score of 59 and above
- MUET: Band 4 and above
