Course Overview

Program Structure

  • Year 1: Courses include Chemical Thermodynamics and Introductory Chemical Kinetics, Fluid Mechanics, Industrial Chemical Processes, and Mathematics for Engineers and Scientists 3.
  • Year 2: Courses include Separation Processes A, Business Awareness, Safety and Sustainability, Chemical Reaction Engineering, and Chemistry of Materials for Chemical Engineers.
  • Year 3: Courses include Unit Operations A, Sustainability, Health and Safety, Energy Generation and Utilisation, and Reaction Engineering.
  • Year 4 (MEng only): Courses include MEng Design Project C, MEng Research Project C, Professional and Industrial Studies, and Unit Operations B.

Entry Requirements

  • A-Level / STPM: BBC including B in Mathematics and Chemistry.
  • UEC: 15 points or less including A2 in Mathematics and Chemistry (5 subjects not less than B grade).
  • WACE / SACE: ATAR 75 including 65% in Mathematics Method/Specialist and Chemistry.
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma: 26 points including 5 in SL Chemistry and Mathematics AA (or 5 in HL Mathematics AI).
  • Matriculation / Foundation: CGPA 3.0 including B in Mathematics and Chemistry.
  • Diploma: A diploma in a related field – Engineering with CGPA 3.0 including B in Mathematics and Chemistry.
  • English Language Requirements: If English is not your first language, evidence of proficiency equivalent to IELTS 6.0 is required.
