Course Overview

The Diploma in Hotel Management at Lincoln University College equips students with comprehensive operational skills in rooms division, reception services, food and beverage service management, and food production. This program prepares graduates for dynamic roles in the hotel industry, including positions in food production, food and beverage service, front office, and housekeeping.

Program Structure

Year 1: Introduction to the hospitality industry, housekeeping management, front office management, and food and beverage service skills.
Year 2: Advanced topics such as restaurant operations, human resource management in hotel and catering, kitchen management, and beverage studies.
Year 3: Specialized subjects including event management, marketing hotel and catering services, and industrial training to provide practical industry experience.

Entry Requirements

Pass Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with credits in three subjects; or
Pass Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with at least grade B in three subjects; or
Pass O-Level with at least grade C in three subjects; or
Pass the Malaysian High School Certificate (STPM) or equivalent with a minimum grade C (NGMP 2.0) in any subject; or
Pass STAM (rank Maqbool); or
Graduate Community College Certificate MQF equivalent to level 3 in a related field; and
- Pass SPM with at least a credit in one subject; and
- Through consolidation program (if necessary); or
Pass the Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 3 in a relevant field; and
- Pass SPM with at least a credit in one subject; and
- Through consolidation program (if necessary); or
Graduate Certificate in a related field (MQF Level 3) with a minimum CGPA of 2.0; or
Other qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government.
