Course Overview

The Bachelor in Product Design (Hons) at Management and Science University (MSU) equips students with the skills to craft and develop products using a variety of materials and technologies for residential, business, and industrial applications. Graduates are prepared for roles such as product designer, industrial designer, and design consultant.

Program Structure

  • Year 1: Principles of Form and Three-Dimensional Design, Ergonomics and Anthropometrics, Computerised Graphics, Graphic Communication
  • Year 2: Model Making and Prototyping, Design Studio I and II, Product Aesthetics and Design Awareness, Design Creativity
  • Year 3: Product Design Project I and II, Design Experimentation, Industrial Training

Entry Requirements

  • STPM or equivalent: Pass with at least 2.00 CGPA (Grade C) in two (2) subjects
  • UEC: Pass with a B in five (5) subjects
  • Diploma (MQF level 4) or equivalent: Pass with at least 2.00 CGPA
  • Matriculation/Asasi/Foundation in a relevant or equivalent field: Pass with at least 2.00 CGPA
  • Additional requirements: Band 1 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) and pass the MSU interview and drawing test
