Course Overview

The Bachelor in Traditional Chinese Medicine (Hons) at Management and Science University (MSU) equips students with comprehensive knowledge in both biomedical sciences and traditional Chinese medicinal practices, preparing graduates for roles such as TCM Therapist and Acupuncturist.

Program Structure

  • Year 1: Bio-ethics and Nursing, Basic Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Theory of Meridian and Point, Anatomy and Physiology
  • Year 2: Chinese Materia Medica, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Immunology and Serology
  • Year 3: Chinese Tuina, Therapy of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Radiographic Anatomy, Clinical Pathology
  • Year 4: Pharmacoepidemiology, Nutraceutical, Industrial Pharmacy Attachment

Entry Requirements

  • At least 2.5 CGPA at STPM level in Science stream; for non-Science-stream STPM, 2.5 CGPA and a Credit in TWO (2) Science subjects at SPM level
  • Full Pass in STPM Pengajian Am (General Studies) and TWO (2) other subjects, plus a Partial Pass in TWO (2) other subjects
  • TWO (2) Full Passes at A-level
  • MSU Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine with at least 2.5 CGPA
  • Equivalent qualification in a related field recognized by MSU Senate
