Course Overview

The Bachelor of Information Technology (Cybersecurity) (Honours) at Nilai University equips students with the knowledge, skills, and expertise required to protect digital assets, networks, and systems from cyber threats and attacks. Graduates are prepared for roles such as Cybersecurity Analyst, Network Engineer, and Software Developer.

Program Structure

Year 1: Foundational courses including C Programming, Introduction to Information Systems, and Database Systems.
Year 2: Intermediate topics such as Object Oriented Software Development, Cloud Architecture, and Data Communications and Networking.
Year 3: Advanced subjects like Network Security, Ethical Hacking, and Cybersecurity Projects I & II, culminating in an internship.

Entry Requirements

STPM: Pass with a minimum grade of C (GPA 2.00) in any two subjects and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.
A-Level: Pass with a minimum Grade D in any two subjects and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.
UEC: Pass with at least Grade B in any five subjects and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.
STAM: Pass with a minimum grade of Jayyid in any two subjects and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.
Foundation/Matriculation: Pass with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.
Diploma in Computing fields (Level 4, MQF) or equivalent: Pass with minimum CGPA 2.50. Candidates with a CGPA below 2.50 may need to undergo an internal interview.
Diploma in Non-Computing fields (Level 4, MQF) or equivalent: Pass with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent. Candidates with a CGPA below 2.75 but more than 2.50 may need to undergo an internal interview.
Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) / Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) in Computing fields: Pass with a minimum CGPA of 2.50.
